Hi everyone!

Not sure if this is the right place to post, so sorry if it isnt!

Ok I have been working pretty hard on my main business, which is a limited company, doing fairly well, and happy with how its progressing.

As a young businessman I like to try and see things from a different perspective and find new opportunities and angles to help me progress personally and also for my business.

Tonight I came up with an idea to help myself financially, to take off some pressure and also help my business at the same time.

I would like to attract a small level of investment as a business individual, in exchange the investor would get a percentage of my earnings over the 5 years following, my thoughts were 10% for the first 3 years, and 5% for the next 2 years.

even at a fairly low basic wage/salary this would result in a good return, to me it seems a good idea,

I was wondering if anyone else had a view point on this, or had heard of it being done before? Or if you think its a terrible idea and I should go back to the drawing board!

I look forward to hearing from you!

You have been watching too much dragons den.

For anyone to be interested in that they would have to see a decent return on their money. You will be a gamble also. You could die  and the investor will have lost their money.

Also 10% return a year at a basic wage is roughly a grand so your not going to get much investment to begin with are you.

Got to love Dragons den eh?

Yes i admit it would be a gamble to an extent, there are always risks.

at basic wage, using your estimation of £1k a month, would give a 20% return overall based on a 5k investment

well 3 years at basic pay will mean you earn about 27k in three years.

So you will be giving 2,700 back to the investor. How much are they likely to have given you in the first place?
