Paypal Fees

I apologise in advance if this has been asked a thousand times already.

Please could somebody help me understand how paypal calculate their fees. I am a very small UK ecommerce business using Wordpress / Woocommerce.
Below is a recent summary of a purchase:
Items Subtotal: £24.99
Shipping: £3.99
Order Total: £28.98 GBP
Paid: £28.98 GBP

PayPal Fee: - £1.14 GBP
PayPal Payout: £27.84 GBP

How did the paypal fee come to £1.14? I've heard the Paypal fee is 1.2% plus £0.30 but this doesn't work out.

It is just so I can factor it in to my future listings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, it's a business account. It wouldn't let me sync my personal account to woocommerce so I had to switch it to a business account.

The business rate for sales is 2.9%+30p.

Stripe offers 1.4%+20p.

Ok so I'm really confused now.

Firstly...

Today I sold two of the same item (two separate orders)

This is the breakdown of the first one:

Items Subtotal:		£3.70
Shipping:		£0.00
Order Total:		£3.70 GBP

Paid:		£3.70 GBP

PayPal Fee:		- £0.41 GBP
PayPal Payout:		£3.29 GBP

And this is the breakdown of the second one:

Items Subtotal:		£3.70
Shipping:		£0.00
Order Total:		£3.70 GBP

Paid:		£3.70 GBP

PayPal Fee:		- £0.34 GBP
PayPal Payout:		£3.36 GBP

Both are in the UK.

Why the difference in fee?

Secondly...

Here is the breakdown of another order I got today... I worked the paypal fee out at £2.53 (even on paypal fee calculators online it says this) Why is it only £1.22? Again this is a UK payment.

Items Subtotal:		£64.18
Shipping:		£12.88
Order Total:		£77.06 GBP

Paid:		£77.06 GBP

Maths is definitely not my strong point so I'm struggling to figure it out.

2.9%+30p is the standard transaction fee for payment made on a UK card via Paypal account or sterling Paypal account not done via QR code, which I imagine covers the majority of transactions.
