Payments recieved (in bank etc) notifications via email in 'real time' or close to it

Hi all,

Hope you are all well!

I am asking for help signposting to a product / solution out there that provides individual email notifications each time a payment is received in the bank (i.e. as soon as someone pays their invoice via bank transfer etc we get notified immediately).

Am aware of bank feeds etc through the likes of Xero but this is lagged by an hour (or much more somethings) and still requires a manual check.

Also GoCardless for direct debit payments emails a notification each time one of these payments is made or at least when all have been paid on a recurring bill run which is nice (but most payments are not via direct debit so the remainder - mainly via bank transfer are missed here with instant notifications).

I've heard on the grapevine other people having solutions that see to do things like this but might be one of those products that's not easily found out there on the interweb.

Not sure you will find a product that does this. There are billions of transactions every day, sending an email for each would clog up the tubes.

Most banks can send a notification to a phone if you use their app.

Would individual email notifications not be slower than logging into the bank and checking transactions?

My Tide account mobile app notifies me of any transactions on my account.
It maybe that your bank similarly has a notification facility within it's mobile app.

Most banks send notifications from their apps. What they don’t do is sent emails.

Except PayPal, they send emails.

I don't use it myself but I remember seeing Starling bank send notifications (although not emails)

Starling Bank do instant push notifications. You could potentially have those appear on your PC depending on the setup you have, if that helps.

You may need to think around the solution. Are you receiving payments only direct to your bank or do you have an online business which takes payments via card or PayPal which need uploading straight to your accounting software? A better understanding of your business model and software set up would help find the right solution?
