Payments on opencart

Hi friends! Can you recommend a module for accepting payments on opencart? Need a proven and reliable!

You need a payment provider first or do you already have one. We use stripe and paypal so the modules that support these PP is included but you can download free stripe modules or pay for them in the marketplace

OpenCart has many payment integration scripts for all the top providers and more, so what you should be worrying about is which payment provider you want to use then worry about the integration afterwards, I've never had any issues with any integration apart from PayPal Standard which in the past the default plugin has had some strange issues but not sure if that affects the latest OpenCart versions or not.

Paying 3.4% + 20p for every transaction... why ?? There are plenty of payment modules/processors linked into OpenCart either directly or via an extension.

That is perhaps because Paypal, in many sectors, is the most popular method of payment?

I would echo what others have said about finding a payment provider that suits the requirements of your business. Integration with all platforms is usually straightforward and there is almost always a well tested and supported plugin. Worldpay we have previously had a few issues with but nothing that was unresolvable. I would recommend Stripe going forwards as it seems to cover all bases!

And good point about paypal is. They automatically put you on better rate once you met their threshold. So you dont have to call them. I am paying about 2.5%

2.5% is still very high depending on your sector, chargeback history etc.

Still very high. Your rates could be much much lower than this through alternative payment processors.
