Hello Everyone!

Haven't been here for a while, been working on mp4 download options for hypnosis etc.

Anywaysss, my question is this (and yes I have already searched to see if a similar question has been asked, but couldn't find anything as such)....

1) Pay Per Click. In terms of selling something low cost (in my case £10 per download) has anybody here actually tried pay per click, and if so.....was it worth it? I know that obviously having the right keywords etc is important, but all things equal...did it work?

2) If it does work, then which is the best one to go with. Can't say I am convinced with adwords myself in terms of the ifs and buts they seem to mention, but I might be wrong.

Many thanks

Yes, but that's not the question you should be asking.

I'd say adwords is best.

It'll help you to think of it this way: what people are willing to bid is a reflection of the value of a visitor to their website.

If you are selling a low ticket item and are bidding against hypnotherapists who are selling hypnotherapy (a higher ticket item), how are you going to compete?

The answer is through either:

(a) Having a higher website conversion rate - i.e. matching their visitor value by having more conversions (to make up for the lower profit).

and/or

(b) Having a higher clickthrough rate, which means you can get the ads cheaper than they do.

Any questions, let me know.

Cheers,

Steve

Many of my clients are experincing exceptional results with PPC at this level - So yes it can be.

For you, I would certainly suggest MSN - the demographic fits nicely with your offering.
