Passing Off Letter

Hi. I had an issue back in mid 2016 whereby a company sent me an email and passing off letter that requested I stop using the URL and company name i was using.

At the time, purely from a bit of fright etc, i sent an email back saying i would stop using the name and URL.

However, the URL has come up for renewal and yes it is a long time ago the issue happened, but i cannot help thinking i was wrong to stop using the URL.

Can someone advise on the status? I am happy to PM all the correspondence and my URL and the companies URL that was challenging me

I was as i say probably too courteous and went ahead and obliged!
Kind Regards
Vimal

It’s your domain. They can’t stop you renewing and in many cases they can’t stop you hosting a site on that domain. Just make sure it’s obvious you are not them.

But a lot depends on who asked you not to use the domain.

No idea. I can see the button on your profile. Anyway, I've set you a message to which you can reply.

Hi. Not sure why but when i click your username, i can't see the PM button. I just upgraded to full membership as i like this forum for many reasons. I think it may be a time delay before i see the PM button possibly?

It might be the browser your running
I think you were far too kind and I would have been looking to see if they have a legal position at all
