Outsourcing manufacturing

Hello

Suppose a small firm wishes to take a new electronic device to market. My impression is that the circuitry work is typically done in-house, whilst the soldering and assembly are then taken to China for a small production run. But then, suppose the device uses components already on the market, how does the Chinese factory get hold of them? Does the firm send over boxes of components and ask the factory to just solder them in? How about QA? Also, the soldering factory doesn't likely do plastic enclosures, so how is assembly and packaging done?

Thanks!

its all about getting the right information across . When talking with manufacturer it is easier and cheaper to get everything done at once. make sure you verify the business properly before. be aware of locations like Shenzhen where there is lots of scam agents and so called factopries with an address : unit x, street , city, etc
