Our first award!!.......

Just returned from exhibiting at the DIY & Garden Show at Earls Court and my product (Parcel Safe) won 'Best New DIY/Hardware Product 2007' in the new product awards!

This was the icing on the cake, a superb show with interest from the big guns including Woolworths, Wickes, Amazon and Screwfix!

A fantastic start to 2007!!

Here's a few images from the show.....

Thanks for all the comments, and to anyone who has a new product, stick at it....there were plenty of occasions last year when I felt like just giving in but stuck at it, and will hopefully during the next few months start to see the rewards.

the award is great - well done.
now - how can you ramp it up to generate exposure / awareness / consumer interest etc?

How about taking a few hours out to think - 'what am I going to do with this?'

the entire purpose of entering for rewards is not for the reward - but for the publicity.
My old school friend Andrew Black of Betfair won Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneurs Award in October 2002 and the Queens Award for Enterprise in 2003 - that would have been nothing if he didn't use it to generate press awareness and get poeple to use his product.

Good luck - the award is an opportunity - use it well.

well done, I like the product, it encourages online ordering which I obviously support.

Do you do a bigger one though? A lot of our boxes would not fit in that.

I am quite envious that you have a product of your own rather than retailing other people's products. It must be very rewarding.
