OpenCart Stripe Extension

I currently take payments by PayPal through my OpenCart website, or allow payment by bank transfer (very few choose this option). I don't do in-person or 'phone payments, A few customers do ask about the latter but are always happy to use PayPal or bank transfer. I haven't lost any customers.

I am interested in something like Stripe for the lower transaction fees and would like to pick the forum's brains:
I think I need to:
- Register with Stripe with bank details for payout.
- Install the OpenCart Stripe extension.

Is it as simple as that, or am I being naive?

Does Stripe have any other advantages/disadvantages?

Any other solutions I should consider?

We use Stripe on our website, not OpenCart, and it does seem to work well. Only disadvantage is that there is a delay of a week or more before they transfer your money. Fees are cheaper and support has been good every time I have needed it, which is not a lot, if you cant find something in their online help system and docs.

As I'd never heard of them, I will stick with Stripe.
