Online sales storage

Hi
I have been collecting a lot of second hand items over the years and am looking to start a limited company selling them online. The items collected are stored in the house that I rent and currently take up aprox 80% of the space. My question is, can I claim the cost rent, well 80% of the rent cost as an expense? And 80% of the council tax, gas & electric?

Do you have your landlord's permission to run a business from home?
Exactly what I thought.

If you plan to register the company using your rental address you may well end up losing everything. Check the conditions in your lease. Most rental agreement have a no-trading clause.

My guess is the answer is no.

You will be able to claim some costs from working from home, however, do you need to heat/power/light the items?

Also, whilst it needs more digging, my gut feel is that a ltd company might not be the way to go.
