Online booking system

Does anyone know of a good online booking system I can download for PHP/MySQL?

I want to set up an online booking system and I have found a few but before I waste time setting them up would appreciate it if anyone knew the pros and cons of any they have used.

Lol. There are so many of them there seems to be a competition year on year for trainee developers to see who can outdo the last. Try hotscripts.com and use their feedback system, accompanied by the use to which you wish to put it, to decide which one to go for.

There used to be a site called melonfire, too, which had some good tutorials on the subject with excellent example scripts. I think it's been absorbed elsewhere, but may turn up on a google search.

What sort of booking to you require?


That can influence the direction you go. If selling simple tickets a normal cart would probably do. If allocating seats, something more focussed would be required.

I was looking at using a generic booking system that can be configured to work with anything from dentist appointments to group bookings at large venues.
