Same ones that worked in 2019.

No! These techniques haven’t worked in years. But for some reason SEO companies in Asia still persist in doing them.

It's fine for people to suggest authorative links etc - but you need to find the same sites all of your competitors use (and even better sites that they dont know about). Then remove all the crappy spammy links, then check these links for things like penalty risk, links on the page already in place - and countless others.
There is little point getting a link from a page that already has 100+ other links on it or from a page that has links to spammy sites etc. Sounds easy enough right ?

Back in the real world you could spend weeks trying to filter all this information. You need tools to do this for you. Or if you happen to know the editor of a popular online forum / blog site or the BBC etc - then they may link to your site and tag it around some useful relevant text.

Obviously though most forum / blog owners wouldnt normally do this - unless they owed you a favour or your Dad was the DG of bbc online

The most efficient way for off page SEO strategy is through outreaching.
No it’s not. Google can spot these links a mile away and will ignore them.

If we keep the factor of naturality, power, relevancy, and anchor text in mind. The outreaching campaign can go to next level
Nope. Google knows exactly what you are doing and will just ignore the links. Guest posting used to work but because everyone is not using it for SEO it's almost worthless. Same with infographics and the other techniques you mention.

A good few years ago, the BBC had a forum that you could discuss various TV episodes, and if you could get a link on there without being noticed it was gold dust - they were no follow. But you could easily get your link removed and banned if spotted by moderators. The threads auto closed after 28 days of the episode, so the trick was to get one that was inactive so not being moderated and just about to close.

We got one, with a comment 'Merry xmas from the ppc agency' ppc agency being the anchor. We rode at P1 UK for ppc agency for about 18 months from that single link. If only it were so easy today.

I remember back in the early days of Opera there was a community called MyOpera
You had your own section, similar to a blog

The homepage listed 20 users pages (and linked to them)
if you could work out how many spaces to include before your username you would always appear at the top of the A-Z list and therefore appear on a lot of pages (with links back to your page)

The homepage also displayed recent posts, you could almost work out to the 1/2 hour what time Google crawled the page and quite often get your post on there at the right time

The MyOpera homepage was PR9 back then, you could get your page within the site to PR7 and then just drop a few links to your own sites.

The key of course was not to abuse it (apart from username and timing of posts) make sensible posts, be part of the community and it really was like Gold Dust

All the off-page activities still matter like social bookmarking, classifieds. Image sharing, PPT Submission, Video sharing but keep in mind one thing that content always should be unique and relevant every day.
    Rubbish. Worse advice ever.

I think a lot still depends on the content or more importantly the value of that content. Not sure if you are trying to rank a homepage or a post, but I guess with both, if its well written and google likes it, that has a big impact. Ive written posts that went straight to number 1 on google and remain there, without any bother on seo, apart from the meta.. google just liked it. So you might want to consider the value of page/post more so than offsite seo. Anyway, I dont bother with external seo, its too hard. btw, lol at some of the replies above, talk about a flashback to 2010. wow

...and I think without link building you can not get top rank at Google.
Shows how little you know about SEO.

Google tells you in their guidelines what you need to do.

Rather than talk of SEO as such, my reply is more about traffic sources, so for us, Facebook which brings website visitors in waves with posts that direct people to articles of interest and downloadables, the original post being shared many times. Our own Facebook groups work in our instance too in a similar way. Also, looking to make use of Pinterest in future too since some content would lend itself to being shared and links followed. I guess the above depends on what you do and how shareable it is.

Aside from that and more to do with SEO, mentions from contributors on their websites, occasional guest blogging, mentions in press, by organisations, and on notable websites all help.

Off-page SEO techniques can help your website get a higher rank in the search engines. Apart from that, they also increase the domain authority of a website. Off-page SEO techniques that I mostly use are
    • Listing your business in local listing websites
    • Social bookmarking on high domain authority websites
    • Web 2.0
    • Blog commenting ( Do not spam comments. Otherwise your comments will be blocked for that blog )
    • PR submission
    • Blog promotion

So many people writing so many half-truths and often bunkum :)

The question was what off page SEO (linking) works, yet what many have written is what they charge for.

Without getting into a heavy discussion we first have to decide what type of linking is acceptable as a risk to your business, because the better the impact, the higher the risk, and this can be anything as innocuous as a dofollow (doesn't really exist as all links are do follow automatically unless marked up with rel nofollow) all the way to hacked site based SAPE links.

    What works?
PBN's (not the crap you find on fiverr), niche edits (again not the crap you find on fiver) High power links (paid or free) again there are a load of variables on what makes a site high powered, but think relevancy and traffic above all else.

It's very important to get rank any website through Off-Page SEO activity. In recent, there are many new changes over years and it's good. There are many factors but I will focus on 7 topics.
Here is the Off-Page SEO Tactics list.

    1. Link Building - Link Building is the bread and butter of off-page SEO. Reaching out to site owners is still a great way to build quality links, however, there are other strategies such as broken link building.

    2. Social Media - It’s not enough to just create social media profiles and have links to your website in those. Creating shareable content that people get real value from will help your page go up in the rankings.

    3. Blog Commenting - Many blogs turn off their comments due to spam. However, some blogs leave them open. Do not spam these blogs by simply leaving a link!

    4. Guest Posting - Guest posting is an old strategy, but it still works extremely well. Reach out to blog owners in your space.

    5. Video and Image Submission - An excellent way to get good quality links is to submit video content to various websites such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Dailymotion.

    6. Press Release Links - Sending out press releases and leaving links to your website in these press releases is still a good way to get good quality links to your site.

    7. Questions & Answers - Using Question & Answer portals like Quora and LinkedIn, especially if people find your link to be relevant to their question.

There are many SEO Services agencies that can provide you service to get rank your website. Through <spam> you can make your website more user-friendly and get rank.

@Yash Shah - your suggestions are about as wrong as it gets. If this is how you do SEO in Mumbai you are taking clients money under false pretences.

There seem to be some golden oldies commenting here so I'll add mine.
Back in the day you might remember 'reciprocal links' were the rage. Quantity not quality. My fondest memory is of exchanging links with a Baptist Church in Minnesota who tried to sell me a T-Shirt. Happy days!

    Made us chuckle :)
