Wasn't sure where to put this post as its internet and marketing and just a general question as well, so I plumped for this section!!

Anyone else use aweber to sort out their newsletters and mailings to clients etc?

Every month dear Steve does his thing with words, I then go and put them into the system, hit the relevant buttons and away it goes.

Now having sent out this months again this morning, I decided as I had a moment to nose at last months figures as I do track them, well you would be silly not to given the choice.

And last month 102% were opened ... I had extra ones opened apparently, ie more read then were sent out, which as the list is rather large meant it couldnt just be one or two.

Anyone got any ideas as I am fascinated where the extra figures comes from.

I once wrote a split test mailing for someone (not Gill) where Aweber said one of the subject lines produced > 100% opening rate.

I've never found out what that meant.

One theory could be that some people opened it in 2 different programs e.g. once in their normal inbox and once in outlook.

But that's just a wild guess.

Could it be people that open it on their Blackberry and then later on their PC? I know I get duplicate read receipts when people read emails on a Blackberry and later on a PC.
