    Hi All,

In our current premises we have inherited a meridian phone system which along with not doing what we want is starting to get difficult to find engineers to support so we are looking to change.

We are sufficiently far from our local exchange to only be getting an intermittent 8 meg broadband connection so voip or cloud based is not for us.

4 lines, 15 extensions, call logging, auto attendant, voicemail and divert are all requirements. We need to be able to make tannoy announcements initiated from the handsets and either a dect system for the warehouse of a low cost way of using mobiles as extensions.

    Suggestions welcome.

Hello - I wouldn't rule out VoIP on the basis of your internet connectivity - with a specialist service delivering intelligent and managed voice traffic, your 8Mb should easily be sufficient; we have customer running similar numbers of extensions on less.
Please PM me if you would like to find out more!

I'm not sure why you're ruling out VoIP - 8 meg suggests you've got plenty (even up stream). I'd be more concerned about the 'intermittent' bit and there's no excuse for that these days. Have you actually had the broadband connection properly tested?

We've got a new high-end broadband service on an empty network being rolled out at the moment. If you're interested give us a call - 020 7043 5555.

    Hi Pental,

If you can PM me your address and the best number to contact you on we can discuss your requirements. We can supply and support most manufacturers phone systems and all technologies; analogue, ISDN, VoIP/SIP, GSM, etc. so should be able to help.

    Kind regards,

    Stuart.

    Hi All,

I am new to this forum but you might want to consider putting in a UPS to backup the phone system so at least if the power goes off then your phone system will continue to work for a short while afterwards.

If you need further info feel free to drop me a pm or email.

    Thanks
