Hi everyone,

Just started up my business and my main mission is to automate your communications. I am wanting to work with business owners to understand their challenges and where we can optimise their communications with potential customers to ensure no revenue is ever lost. it be great to get some thoughts on experienced business owners on what they would love to see in an AI receptionist

Yuk, yuk and double yuk. I hate then and everyone I know hates them.

I use AI where appropriate but I'd rather talk to a human. Especially as it keeps them in employment and contributing to society.

@Arjan99 I'd suggest visiting supermarkets and look at the faces of people using the automated tills, and that will tell you how people feel towards automated types services. They are unhappy and grumby, compared to the faces of customers beong served by people - which are happier.

Not everybody is unhappy about using automated tills. I use them whenever I can to avoid meaningless chit chat with a till operator.
Same here. But would you want an AI receptionist on the service desk?

I would say there are only really a few use cases where "AI Receptionists" would be a viable option. Having gone through all the different AI Voice agent solutions they are just not robust enough to deal with a meandering conversation. Sure you could use it for a simple booking call but what if they start asking about the menu etc it just ruins the whole experience for them and unless you have an easy route to a human its gonna be even worse. I am unsure of many business who get too many revenue generating calls. Sure there are umpteen youtube videos of people creating these voice agents to do outbound calls etc but for me its too much of a reputation risk for me to apply that to an established business. I would rather utilise AI AUtomation in the rest of their processes so their people can deal with more calls or not have as many calls due to other areas being resolved
