I cant think of anything worse than shopping for shirts. Even make up shopping with the mrs you have the benefit of looking at the sales women.

I have enough shirts to keep me going and i find that 1 or 2 just helps to freshen it up when one starts getting a bit dated/tatty.

But i work for myself now so i tend to only wear about 3 shirts in a week anyway when im seeing clients.

It depends really OP. I probably buy a couple of work shirts (to go with a suit) a month, a couple of smart-casual shirts a month, and a new wing collar perhaps once or twice a year (depending on how much use it's had, and whether it's a particularly important occasion).

Couple of questions if I may for the gentleman on the forum;

1.) How often do you buy yourself (or get bought for you!) a new formal/ smart shirt?

2.) How much do you on average pay for a new shirt?

Thanks in advance.. :)

I buy around one a month, sometimes a little more or less frequently.
The price can vary massively but I suppose on average around £100.
What prompted the question?
