Maybe Transport secretary Chris Grayling can explain how they will be BRITISH trains?
Where a German company is manufacturing German trains in England.
Because it will be cheaper for that company to make them over here.


That's similar to claiming that HONDA is making British Honda cars in Britain.

Which country are the trains made in?

It doesn't matter to me what nationality the company running the plant is. If it matters to you then buy the plant and you can then have a British company making goods at a plant in Britain using British workers.

Otherwise don't complain when some foreign company is willing to invest and pay staff in this country.

Can you name any particular British factory besides the one you already have that has the capacity and ability to build trains? And did such a factory bid to build trains but lost?

I can explain why there are no BRITISH companies making BRITISH trains.

It is because no BRITISH companies want to.

Things that are bad according to some people

1) Foreign companies making things in Britain
2) British companies making things overseas.

Hornby are owned by Phoenix Asset Management in London.

So are you claiming that items made in Britain are not British due to foreign company owning the company

and

items made in China are Chinese despite the fact that a British company own the company?

Because you would then be contradicting your own views.

The company may well still be British, but it is not in Britain
And therefore not employing any British workers living in Britain.
