I want to learn PPC tactics because its important for me to become an expert internet marketing person. I'm sharing all this here because i have seen some great threads on PPC from where i got to know that people on this forum have good knowledge of PPC. So tell me from where to start? I mean what should be my first step if i want to learn PPC?

I agree with weblinkplus - your starting point has to be google themselves, getting the basic information that they pass on is essential to stepping out on the right foot.

Start a google search for "Google PPC" or "Google PPC Advice" and begin to compare and contrast articles and their arguments/pros/cons etc etc as stated in the previous posts there are also a lot of good books out there (i.e. the XYZ for Dummies etc. etc.)

I am also a firm believer in hands oexperience - if you have a website then start with some small change on certain terms so that you can begin to analyse the sorts of results you are getting, why you are getting them, how you can improve them

adwords help experts...??
use the Google training center for the qualified exams this will help but all books aside and traiining docs etc it is experience and first hand knowledge that is the key here! Although basics are the same you will never run 2 accounts that are hugely alike, this comes down to individual needs...and if i can be so bold as to give any advice then remember to try and always become and understand the business that you are advertising for......

I'd say "Adwords for Dummies".

It'll give you an understanding of how adwords works (though it's out of date) and some idea of the direct marketing principles involved.

Then I'd suggest studying direct marketing (Drayton Bird, Jay Abraham, Claude Hopkins etc.), copywriting and split-testing.

Because that's really what Adwords is: it's a delivery mechanism for direct marketing.
