Need help with logo and brand development

Hi Guys,

I would like some reviews of these concepts which have been developed for me.

My company HDSTATION sells video games, consoles, dvd, controllers, accessories.

My personal opinion is I find the logo cleaver as it has an analogue stick and incorporates the h and the d.

But would like more opinions.

Yes but look at all other video games retailers, simplaygames, gameseek even shopto their logo does not really reflect gaming. Pretty much all colour text logo.

I think they look really good and professional (looks like a proper brand if you know what I mean) top and bottom left ones especially for me anyway (try 2nd down right text with bottom left logo).

I wouldn't say either of the first 2 sites you look at have a logo, and it all depends on what you want to get out of.

The 2nd to bottom row are the better ones IMO, but I think if you curved the edges a little, or angled them to make it look more like a D (just the 2 left edges) it would look less like a zip.

But you may find the logo on the bottom left would be better layout for headers, banners etc

How much have you paid for these? Check them on white background and see how they look and they make a judgement.

I prefer the 3rd one down too, but if you're too clever people won't know what it is. I can't really see a D in it, and definitely can't see an analogue stick. They just don't look like a capital I.

I like them, they've good, but if I saw someone walk down the street with a carrier bag with that on, I'd have no idea it was a games store.

Hmmm I think first one is the best because its look is professional with color and adjust proper on the text, looking beautiful

I don't like the black on the dark grey...the red and white show up much better. Can the grey be lightened (background)?

Yes there is difference between logo and brand but logo is the main and most important thing in brand, For example Mercedes, Microsoft, twitter, and so on if anyone in the world see the logos of these companies or any branded company they exactly know the name of company from the log, if the logo is simple and unique and leave their effect in people mind its very great full to your business.

It looks like a logo and slogan for a new sky tv channel. It doesn't say gaming to me. Maybe you should try and put a joystick in the logo instead as that sends a much clearer message about what your company is all about.
