Does anyone use Myspace as a marketing tool/ web traffic generator. I have heard a few varying things about it. Some successful, some a waste of time.

I tried it and gave up. I was keeping a blog on there about life as a freelance and using my profile to try and generate contacts. It failed. I still keep my MySpace profile for making friends, but I moved my blog to blogspot.com.

I use blogspot. I generally use it to create targetted inbound links. I write articles highly targetted to my keywords. Selling cars-so advice on buying and selling, reviews and news etc-then link back to my site as referrence in the content.

Just trying myspace now. If nothing else it will be a few more inbound links.
