Hi All. Thanks in advance for looking at this.

Wanted to change it but now pushed it into next year because of a bunch of reasons which means it's about 100 on my 'To Do' list at the moment.

Anyhow, I think the copy's getting there, just about, and the site's OK I think. Not that interested in Google rankings but very interested in tying it into my marketing campaigns.

    What are your thoughts?

Lose the static intro with be whatever, its too long and boring. I'd nearly scrolled away before the video started.

Get straight into the client video.

Add video controls, even simple ones. I saw something interesting and wanted to go back to see it, but I couldn't. Of maybe links to the individual videos underneath

We don't win awards for video - oh, ok, stopped reading.

Put the You Do on the same line same size

    Or rephrase it.

How are you marketing the business? If Google isn't that important it suggests your visitors are already warm leads. Which means they know about you and/or what you do. So do as @NickGrogan says and bin the intro video (which is very boring). Like many I don't have sound at work so it's just a set of random images.

    You do have this page:

But it's equally boring. I have first to scroll and then I have no idea what I'm looking at. You have no titles to introduce the story. When I did click on something this weird modal opened with the blurb on the right (with scroll bars) and a carousel below. It's just awful.

Every project needs it's own page. Each video needs a set of controls.

And you need a call to action!

You were advised to bin wix many months ago. You could have found a developer and had a cracking WordPress site up and running in a couple of days. TBH, It doesn't feel any better that it did when we first reviewed.

Couple of quick comments. I'm looking at this on my phone.

There are two hamburger menus. One opens to show your logo only. Why?

There are two logos at the top of home page. (A third logo in the hamburger menu). A real bugbear of mine is low quality images, specifically logos. With you being a media company I'd suggest this should be important?

I spoke with a couple of development companies. Both quoted me 6 weeks. And when I asked them, I'd need to do some things on my side to get it working which would take me a while.

Frankly, there were a load of other things to do that were more important to winning business than the site. I know to a web developer, the website seems to be the most important thing in the world but I literally won one of the UK's top 10 brands using this website so upgrading was pushed back on the priority list.

You were talking to the wrong development companies. There are a whole bunch of developers on UKBF could get you sorted much quicker than that. And for a lot less than you would pay some agency.

The website may not be the most important thing but maybe you have lost out on a number of potential leads because the visitor wasn’t impressed. Do you even know your bounce rate?

Thanks for spotting. That literally appeared today. Never seen that before. I think it's probably a bug that's just appeared. On the phone to Wix support right now...

I'm going to go out on a limb and venture to say, you didn't win a top 10 brand with your website. You won it on the quality of your work.

Paul, you are leaving so much on the table by showing visitors this website. I'm really struggling to find a redeeming feature. Unless you get away from Wix, you will always have what you have now.

Thanks. Changed the presentation of the tagline a little so the 'You Do' doesn't get lost.

The static intro and 'Be...' elements... will jazz them up a bit. I can do some things with them that will make them pop a little more. That speaks specifically to marketing customers but making it pop is a good idea. Will put that on the list for this month.

    Thanks for this. Good critique.

Thinking about accessibility and performance, your website would be better positioned on a platform other than Wix, which may not meet all your needs as your business grows. The obvious one is WordPress!

While Wix is great initially, it can become limiting over time. I think transitioning away from Wix should be your first step toward as it seems like you'd like to grow your business.

Your website would benefit from a consistent structure, starting with a clear introduction, incorporating engaging video content, followed by the main content, social proof, and ending with a strong call to action. The menu titles should be reworded for clarity and relevance.

Additionally, breaking down long paragraphs into shorter, more digestible sections with clear headings and subheadings would improve readability.

At the moment, it's reading inconsistent and 'stuff' doesn't feel right with your line of work, perhaps using a more professional tone would suit better? I noticed a couple of spelling errors that need correction.

Considering your clients and line of work, making the website more creative and colourful would better reflect your business. Currently, the website feels very black and white to me.

Your website needs to grab people's attention, so perhaps a video of your best bits on the homepage at the top would work better.

Lets consider Xavier, a C-suite exec who thinks a marketing video will be great for the company image.

Whilst he will probably task some minion to do the research he will want to see some examples of videos similar to his vision. The minion will send an email to Xavier with links to videos and a summary of who they recommend to do the filming.

Because of how your site is constructed they can't get the URL of a video. Which means you are already out of the running.

But consider that you could do this:

Each project has its own page. The video is at the top with a suitable and descriptive title. The video has controls so the viewer can start, stop and rewind.

Below the video you tell the story. You add in some production stills, maybe some 'making of' pictures or even the storyboard. You talk about the actors, the script, location and perhaps the equipment.

You then have a picture of Xavier (and short bio) and his praise and congratulations.

Then you say how the video increased sales/leads whatever.

And then you offer links to similar video pages.

This would give you a huge wodge of highly indexable content that meets the needs of EEAT. Google will suck it up and you could easily rank well for dozens of keywords.

It also means when you get a call about a video for the launch of a new biscuit you can easy point them in your best Blue Peter style to one you have done before.

Yes, have to move it to Wordpress. But need a nice, six week hole in the diary so we can do it!

    Hi Paul,

I am not a WP expert, but I do run several WP sites. With my limited/intermediate experience, you could get a copy of your site up and running in less than a day.

You could get a site with those customer videos set up as 'case studies' in 2 days.

BTW, you need a call to action when people hit the site!

You could do it in a couple of hours. Or you pay for a migration service. There are loads of them and they aren't expensive.
