Multiple WP sites

I have around 80 micro Wordpress sites and we keep them updated and so on

I've been using InfiniteWP to manage the sites from one location updating plugins etc

But Does any one else use this or is there some thing else out there what you use

if different hosts is important, then look at MainWP

Yes InfiniteWP is good you can even try manageWP.

I use InfiniteWP too. It works well out of the box, but you have add-ons you can purchase for extra functionality.

WordPress MU was ditched and changed to WordPress multi site, it basically gives you the same as MU but without the separate install.

MU or MS gives you access to add new WP sites without installing more WP installs, it's all done from one admin, info

yep, my bad for naming it wrongly, it is now just a change to the normal WP install. it is now inbuilt. Sorry about that wrong term

But I would say that is probably the best option.

Well I have recently started using Infinite WP its working good for me

Yes if they're all on the same server then I'd recommend Wordpress Multi Site as well, I've not looked closely at InfiniteWP etc. but Mutli Site should be more efficient and a better use of resources given the lack of duplication.

I just installed this infinitewp about an hour or so ago and added 10 wordpress sites to it that have lots of plugins that need updating.

I am seeing from the list while it is updating that it is having trouble with time outs? Did you start this thread because it's a sack of excrement?

I hope i haven't just done lots of copy pasta for no reason

I looked at that earlier but saw the prices were per website and thought if this infinite was free i may as well just use that.

Now i need to work out if i want to spend 40 dollars a month so i can easily update about 20 websites or do it manually?

I've just logged into some of the sites to see whether anything has happened because i saw a page on infinite that says it may show as still needing to be done when it has been done and it seems like it has done what it is meant to, which is pretty good for a free plugin...

I was sweating then because i thought i'd just wasted an hour of my life.

*****JUst checked some more, it's done some but not others, annoying.

Hi ricky would you be able to share the settings which you have changed to make it work please? The number of my sites keeps growing and will soon need to take the leap and start using infinite to save myself time. Thanks
