I have a client who presently uses Microsoft Office 2007. They are buying a new machine (Windows 7, 64bit) with Microsoft Office 2010 and I am somewhat concerned about the usual .DOC / .XLS incompatibilities which Microsoft seem delighted to foist onto their userbase.
YES I've told them about OpenOffice.org but they aren't ready to move yet.
Q1. What is cheapest / easiest way to take their existing machines (XP 32bit) up to Office 2010?
Q2. If they retain a mixture of Office 2007 / 2010, are they likely to experience compatibility problems with documents created on Office 2010 default file format?
