I believe his last album was "Invincible" in 2001. Freddie and Michael did a song together! (I think).
Unfortunately, for everybody who isn't a fan of Michael Jackson, they will just have to deal with all the media coverage, because that is the nature of the media! Michael Jackson was a high profile celebrity, and when such people die, this is what happens. Same thing happened with Jade Goody - not many nice things were being said about her, but then when she became terminally ill and passed away, she somehow became the nation's faovourite.
I am a huge fan of Michael Jackson's music and showmanship, and for me that's how I'll remember him. As for his personal issues, I don't know if the real truth will ever be revealed. I was disgusted about his actions (whether true or not), but it didn't make his music sound any less good than I had previously thought it was.
Obviously we are all entitled to our own opinions, and Maichael Jackson will be remember in many ways, some good, some bad. But no one can deny the impact he had on the music industry, even if it was 20 years ago! He definitely deserves some credit for that.
