I used to do this all the time and got quite good at spotting the gems hidden away and made myself a decent living.
I don't do it now as I just can not bring myself to get up a stupid o'clock in the morning any more but the money is there if you know what to look for.
Bull workers are a good one. You can usually pick them up for £1 and they always sell for £20 plus.
My best buy and sell was a chess set made of Mexican azure granite or something like that. I bought it for £6 and it sold it for many hundreds of pounds. I only bought it because it looked good and boy was I right.
I think im going to a car boot sale this sunday! I'll have to see what I can find![]()
owas - throw all you stuff in a black bag and I bet someone will offer you a fiver for it...
which car boot you going to be at?
Well done mate - I'm going to claim credit as the one who told you to go to a car boot sale!
But I did also say in that post that it wasn't rocket science, but most of us were to lazy to go out and do it. You've done it and turned that tenner into a ton. Well done, and well deserved.
Really pleased for you and really pleased that you let us know how you got on.
Thanks
Jeff
