Mailbox

I keep getting a warning that my mailbox is full and can't receive mail until I delete some. The problem is when I look at the stats for my mail I see that I have maybe a total of 12-15 (inbox and sent) but a limit of 30!?

Is this a general problem?

It depends on how your mail account is set up. I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that it's an @yourdomain.com address?

If so, and if you have various addresses set up, eg. [email protected], [email protected] etc then all spam type mail sent to [email protected] ends up outside of your normal accounts but still taking up space in your mail box.

If this is the case then you need log in to your "master" account to clear the extra mail.

What mail system are you using?

Ali.

Afaik this was a bug with invisionboard so as a solution the admin would increase the box limit. Sometimes it could go 110% or something, this is with invisionboard though, don't know if this site is using the same thing...

If you click the drop down menu in the Private Messages area it will show how many message syou have in your Inbox, your Sent Items and any other folders you have created. All these together count towards your total allowance.
You can also download any messages you dont want to lose into CSV or XML, then delete some messages to free up soem space.

The thing is that is my problem. I have had a couple of 'empty your mailbox' warnings when the cumulative value of all postings is way under the 30 threshold. I have no other folders.

I'll take a screenshot next time I get it.
