Hi
I am just about to launch a Magento commerce site and was looking to see if anyone has any positive feedback on Magento?

I could also do with a little help with support in the Nottingham area so if anyone knows of a good (cheap) Magento developer I would be very grateful.

Kind regards Kevin

Hi Kevin,

We highly recommend Magento. It's a great ecommerce software with many available extensions to enhance your store depending on your specific requirements.

Hi Kevin, I'm a Magento developer based in Nottingham City centre - PM me with a spec and explain what type of goods you're selling and I'll give you a straightforward reply as to whether it's something that's up my street.

Magento is good for middle and big businesses. But i'd recommend OpenCart. Firstly, there are no any specific server requirements. Secondly, it is a userfriendly solution and can be easily managed from the admin panel.

Just find some comparative treads in the web and you will see the difference.

I agree, magento is great. Its a steep learning curve but its great. I also know a few decent developers as i live in Cambridgeshire so i can point you in the right direction

Magento is a great bit of kit, we work with starter businesses to medium sized established businesses and Magento has been great for most of them.

Based in Derby city so not too far away from Notts.

Hopefully the OP managed to get their store up and running without any problems.

Hi Kevin, our shop runs on Magento... it's a great platform! However, the reporting is not particularly good. There is an advanced reports module but if you a have a fair few products you may want to look at something like Linnworks to manage stock and provide useful reports/ sales data.
