Hello I was just looking in to some advice, I am about to start my own recruitment company having been in recruitment for just over a year. I was just looking for some advice. I have set aside £10k for the business for the first 12 months. £5k-£6k covers the phone, Internet, website and office fees. What other costs am I likely to incur apart from phone bills and costs of advertising on sites. I am just looking to see if £10k is enought to start up a one person company specialising in Commercial and Sales Recruitment. Also, do I have to register, or have any licences or registration with anyone in particular, e.g. the REC? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

First thing is to spell it correctly ;)
Secondly, a years experience in recruitment is not enough tbh, trust me i've been there, gain more experience and training with a national company then go out on your own.
£10k is enough to start if you are going to work on perms and from home but you might need a factoring company to assist with your cashflow.
REC corporate membership costs approx. £1k. Individual membership £100.
