Looking for product liability insurance for specialised products

I'm a freelance electronics engineer and I make devices for research in psychology and neuroscience (Note: NOT medical devices). It's benign equipment, nothing invasive, and it's used by scientists in controlled laboratory environments, so I have little fear that anyone will ever be hurt by it, but of course there's always the risk that someone will claim that they have...
I had insurance cover but on examination it turned out to be totally unsuitable because it didn't include product liability. I'd like to find an insurer who will cover my products, but when I have tried to get quotes from companies I get the equivalent of a blank stare. Can anyone recommend companies who might be willing to provide cover?

    Hi @charcinders

You need to speak to an independent Insurance Broker - they will have access to a wide range of insurers including, if necessary, specialist insurers/providers.

You need a broker who will take time to understand your product, its use and potential risks - they will then be in a better position to advise on your insurance needs and source a suitable policy.

If you have not got a broker, feel free to get in touch and I will be happy to help.
