Looking for CRM package

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a CRM package for my company.

I had Goldmine but the company I worked at a couple of years ago sold my license and I'm in a battle to get this back.

If any of you use a CRM that is reasonably priced please let me know.

Cheers

Ian

there have been several posts on the forum about CRM. Sigar is quite powerful and free(OSS).

I think you mean Sugar [www.sugarcrm.com]. Version 5.0 is available now with 5.1 slated for March time. The Community version is free and is simple to run [and install if you are a bit techie]. If you want a hosted version - minimum 5 seats - go for the Pro version.

We run it as it has some good features but it lacks the workflow automation of Goldmine.

There may be SugarCRM consultants out there that can walk you through it .. or visit the forums [www.sugarcrm.com/forums]

Hi Chris

Your software certainly looks extensive, but my concern with web-based software like this is what if our internet is down for some reason (last year it was down for FOUR days!)?

Is there not some way you could do a web-based and offline software that were linked. That way, all the time the user has access to the internet they can use the web-based version. But if they're internet connection goes down they can still use the offline version (which was updated with all the necessary client data the last time the web-based version was used) and then it simply uploads all the new information once the internet connection is back?

Hi Ashley

Yes, that is the one downside of a web based system. We are working on a plug-in that will allow an offline system to talk with Pearl, but the link would have to be programmed by a third party depending on what offline software you chose.
