looking for a cheap courier from UK to Italy

Hi,
I run a bridal eshop, up to now our market was UK only but recently we are starting to sell our dresses to Italy. Can you advice on a cheap delivery service.
The dresses are sent out in a box which make the volume go up to about 12kg!
TNT and DHL quote me about 70£ for delivery, way too much....

I have found a service in internet for 24£, 30 if I add the insurance. I have never used them. Can you do better? The parcel weight is 3kg the dimension is 40cm*40cm*30cm from London to Ancona (Italy).

Try www.interparcel.com I use them all the time.
They will give you some price options. Around £20 for Europe is typical

We currently use FEDEX for all our European deliveries. They are probably not the cheapest, but they are good value.

I'm not really into weddings I don't mind the reception, eating the all the food and downing some highland park though!!

I have in the past airfreighted high end dresses for a Devon based manufacturer while this is very expensive you really need to avoid going for the cheapest as security and reliability is sometimes an issue you don't want a brides wedding dress going missing in Rome !
With this in mind I can highly recommend Wavecrest !

We use Parcel Monkey for world-wide deliveries. They offer a choice of courier services, and as they book in bulk, the prices are very competitive, and the website is easy to use, apart from late afternoon, when it can take some time to get a booking confirmed.

Parcel Monkey are OK but if a dress is of a high value it would not be a suitable service

We send out partyware and bath and body shop stuff and use Interparcel their economy service which is UPS they are brilliant and the cheapest. Have never let me down in 5 years. All ways pick up and will keep trying to deliver if your customer is not in up to maybe 4 times. EU delivered in 2-3 days. Their customer service if you do have a problem or have made a mistake whilst booking is excellent. x

We currently send high value (£2k) boxes into europe with Interlink express for £15+ vat for much larger and heavier loads than those you describe. Seems a pretty good service!
