Looking at a brick wall

By chance & pure coincidence, I discovered that today is colour-blindness day.

I happened to be looking at a brick wall today. A red brick wall, to be precise.

And I was absolutely loving it! Just seeing that red of the bricks, something I've never seen before.

I've got new glasses, and I can see the world not in the dull way I've seen it for 50 years, but colours actually distinct.

My brother checked something, tells me that how I've seen the world is grey. To me it's never been grey - I've always seen colour. But until today, I've never seen colour alive & vibrant. And it's beautiful, not dull, as I've always seen it. I love it!

I also posted a bit on Twitter.

What a colourful world I've been missing.

I’m not colour blind, but as someone who’s only real exam success/pass at school was art and hidden talent is water colour painting...I can appreciate your newly found appreciation of colours. Beauty.
Welcome to a whole new world!
