long does it take after a loan paid with a bank( HSBC) until Credit Agencies are updated?

I am self employed and apply for a mortgage but I just paid a loan with my HSBC bank on the 2nd of May and struggle to obtain a mortgage due to the records on Experian and the other credit references have not been updated.

Now HSBC says that t takes 8 weeks for the records to be updated.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the credit references to be updated as I believe if it really takes so long the vendor might pull out of the sale.

Might even be longer than 8 weeks. I know someone that waited a year for a poor credit rating to clear.

It's down to the lender how they update records.

However unless you've done a large lump-sum settlement it should only be showing 2 months due?

Or am I missing something?

Experian shows me that the last update they had from HSBC was on the 7th of April and the amount outstanding was £4114 which takes into account my payment on the 20th of march.

There is also a box that opens if you click (i) and it says they expecting the next update 7 days after the 12th of May.

If this is accurate might have the full update in less than 10 days...
