i think it depends on who your audience are to be honest to accuratley predict which is best.

I had the same problem with my business and after 15 logos we made a tricky decision to choose one based on the most votes from the demographic we were targeting and the image we were trying to portray of our company.

Our company targets 90% guys so effectively the votes from girls were only were 10% the overall score.

Hope that helps

Looks like I'm on my own on this but I thought 6 was best - hard choice though I think they all look very good.

I still think #5 is best, although looking again, I like #3 too. It looked familiar to me though and after searching through what's left of my mind, I realised it reminded me of the Total Publishing logo of the 90s (no idea what their logo is now).

Hi before I comment can I ask what the business will be targeting as its clearly a departure away from what you currently do?
I actually like number 5 but it really depends what the exact business proposition and USP are.

Sorry, the logo is for a new business which will help independent restaurants with their marketing.

keep the votes coming :)

Out of all option 5 is your best effort but there is no kerning of the text and this gives it a feel of being unprofessional and home made.

With all the time you have spent on this you would have had a better result and probably cheaper too using a professional designer :)

mmm, the red and black colour palette don't work for me, its quite eighties, I think your designer could do alot better the first few with the curly font are straight out of the window.

Is there anyway of getting an idea into the design, sometime that would set you apart and that could continue into your branding/visual identity? You say that...

the logo is for a new business which will help independent restaurants with their marketing.

so could there be an element of this in there, even if it was slight. just that in my opinion it could be any type of company, it suggests a ticket agency or seller to me at the moment.

Just my professional opinion though!:)

For some reason I cant PM, might be because I'm a new user.

These are just a few options I have put together, I actually really like the first best.
1. Preparing Your Success - preparing – getting food ready, quite catchy
2. Seasoned for success
3. We know the score – score refers to marks that are made with a knife when preparing food, which I’m sure restaurateurs will pick up on.

I'm with Simon on this one - you got some good advice from branding and design experts a couple of weeks back - whilst some of these look better at face value - from a professional design perspective, they don't stand up.

I voted for 5 myself, but Simon made a valid point about the text needing kerning.

You could try number 5 with the "fully booked" in lower case, if you don't know how to do this.
