I use free version of IM Automater - it's a great software and does a good job on building those bookmarks, spam free.

Not seen that before, we tried Link Assistant and is quite good, however the best way to get backlinks in my opinion is blogs, articles and press releases.

We use this method mainly for our SEO Clients along with other areas of link building.

It just looks like a web based version of PC based software. I didn't see any selection of user names for accounts so might mean you are mixing your submissions with other peoples.. which wouldn't be a great idea for such an easy to use tool.

Automation has it's place but beware of link building automation. Submitting articles to relevant directories, guest posting on blogs and creating interesting relevant information on your own website/blog (link bait) is still better.

I have seen links built by some SEO "specialists" who use automation and have tried it myself on some of my own less important sites and to be honest it only attracted crappy irrelevant links.

Relevancy is more important than quantity. so spend time looking for relevant websites/blogs and keep the theme consititent and you wont have to create 1000's of links just good quality ones! (remember keyword rich anchor text is vitally important)

I'm naturally wary of 'auto submit' anything. What decent social site or any site wants to leave itself open as to let some dodgy tool, spam it to death

Just another tool for the desperate.....

There's only one way to get links for the majority and its manually! No quick fixes online as far as I know, and the only ones making out there is, are the ones selling the damn tools.

Just curious, how many people who use it with the FREE account .....and how many people using it with the paying version ? ...is it worth it ?

When it comes to automated tools, I would recommend Link Assistant as well. But I would agree that a good link building strategy, should include some manual work as well.
