Letting Agent/Estate Agent Wordpress Theme UK

Hi there,

This is my first post. Ive registered to try and get some help from those who may be more informed than me.

Im not new to building websites, i learned basic html 12 years ago but I am new to wordpress. I'm looking for a suitable wordpress theme for my letting agency. Up til now, i have installed a number of different themes which all seem to be from american sites and all of them come with their problems for UK users. Its all "zipcodes" and the ability to search from their "MLS" database. I am looking for a nice theme that can incorporate a proper UK IDX for my users to search for properties on my site.

I have looked all over the place and have even been on a number of different estate agent and letting agent websites to see their current system and im suspecting 99% of them has had their site build for them from a developer which id rather avoid to save costs and so that i have a better understanding of the whole process. Any input is appreciated.

Developing a plugin like this take a lot of time and effort. Most estate agents in the uk use the existing platforms to list houses not wordpress. It follows therefore that it's not viable to spend the time building a plugin that only a handful will use.

I could build you a plugin to do this but it wouldn't be free, like most wordpress developers it have bills to pay.

I have looked at wordpress sites because I build letting and estate agency sites in the UK and did have one agent request it in wordpress if possible.
However in the end I declined this essentially for the same reason that fisicx said in that the work would be too much for the use it would get.
I couldn't use it much for other agents, not because wordpress is bad, its just that my experience says it is just too complicated and would require too much traning for anyone that is not already familar with it.
Normal sites aren't expensive anyway they start from £250.

Try themeforst they have heaps of ready built themes specifically for for estate agencies.

Only problem is very few of them have the Rightmoove/zoopla/etc APIs built in. Using a dedicated letting/estage agent platfom means everything is automated.

Fisicx is correct, I checked out the word-press EA themes at theme-forest and although they are very good at what they do they are primarily US focused and so don't have Rightmove/Zoopla upload freely available.
