Letters after name

Hi

can anybody enlighten me.

I have passed my Edexcel level 5 btec professional diploma and am hoping to pass Edexcel level 7 btec advanced professional diploma this year. I have also been granted membership to the chartered management institute.

1) What letters would i be entitled to put after my name?
2) How would i lay it out?
3) when would be appropriate to use them?

Your help and thoughts would be appreciated as i keep going round in circles on the internet.

Many thanks in advance
Rob

Do a search this topic was covered last week.

Also I am sure if you Google your questions - the answers will all be there.

Thank you poppy

I did not realise it had been discussed before. I did do a search but it never came up the first time.

I have read the comments from last week and I don't feel it answers what letters I could put after my name, so if anyone could help that would be appreciated?

Also, I did google it, and have been all afternoon, I seemed to be going round in circles :| Hence, how i found this forum. I thought the good people on here could help me out.

Personally wouldn't be putting any letters after my name for a (not wishing to sound harsh on your efforts, well done) non descript qualification

Discussed several times here but the only instances I see as suitable are for financial, scientific or business sectors whereby displaying official qualifications or memberships holds weight and seen as a serious source of knowledge, experience

everything else just sounds pompous

As far as I know you can only put MCMI after your name. The only qualifications you add are those with degree status. BTEC doesn't cut it I'm afraid.

There may be a few exceptions but to tell the truth 99% of the post nominal letters aren't really worth much to anyone except youself - most people won't even know what MCMI means.

Unless of course they think it refers to 1901.
