Dear all,

Me and my business partner are setting up a sub agency selling a big FCA regulated SIPP Pension and looking for data leads. I was looking for tips about where you find these leads and how to market to them? In my experience I don't believe in SMS marketing, as a consumer myself it's something I don't feel works and is invasive. I believe email can work but is highly disregarded.

Just wondering if anyone had experience of this at all and can offer tips?

Many thanks

There have been a few threads on this topic over the years. As far as I can remember leads cost about £25 each. All you have to do is find a broker you feel you can trust.

Hi Fisicx,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I am working on sourcing a broker but I thought there might be people here who have similar experience. I thought there may be a potential via Linkedin to source not only a trustworthy broker but potentially wealth investment managers or financial advisors who might be interested in selling the pension to their clients and we split the commission.

If anyone has done this before or something similar and have there experience would be really appreciated.

Good Afternoon SMM,

I hope you are well?

We provide a large number of financial companies with a multitude of financial leads. Can you perhaps elaborate on whether you are looking for leads to contact yourself? Appointments to be setup?

Many Thanks

Alastair

Hi SMM,

You are correct in saying that email is disregarded; however, with opt-in email lists the scales tip more in your favour. Further, emails are generally personal, no more than two screens worth, and used to prompt further interest - like, "Send Me A Brochure Today!"

I know there are some companies around who deal in relationship management who create databases in industries like pharmaceuticals...however these are generally expensive.

Once you have your lists - now what?

Have you considered personal sales/marketing letters? These can be highly effective and generate leads for you when highly targeted...

...and perhaps an online landing page? This is a sales/marketing page online geared to generate leads from highly targeted search traffic, which can cost around £15 - £20 per lead once set up if remote, or have fixed costs to write, design, and code...

...send a brochure! When written and designed with a highly targeted persuasive goal in mind, are effective...

In all cases, you have your target market defined, are sending a message, and persuading people to take an action along a buying model...

In essence, look at multiple ways to generate and procure prospects from your leads - methods all have varied costs applied, as some are cheaper per lead than others; but together, will give you solid inbound contacts.

Alastair,

Any word on the data Siobhan and I paid for nearly two weeks ago? You haven't responded to any of our communications since we paid you?

Best regards

I may know 1 or 2 contacts who can help here. I'll send them a message notifying them of this thread for you. However in the event you go down the road of dealing B2B, consider dropping me a line. I provide a unique service that gives you control of the source data.

In other words you can check out the system the resellers are using to compile data to resell on to businesses.

We are half the price and cover every single industry and have up to 42 variables to help narrow down the kind fo data you need.

Here's some I can think of off the top of my head that the easy to use software which is online allows you to take in to account.

  • Director Information
  • Geographical Information
  • Credit Rating
  • Credit Limit
  • Business Description / SIC Code
  • Ltd / Non Ltd Companies
  • CCJ Information
  • Telephone Number
  • Number of Employees
  • Net Worth
  • Years Trading

Just drop me a message if you'd like a price.

If you're still interested you might want to check Drayton Bird's website. There is an excellent case study of a direct mail campaign he worked on for Hargreaves Lansdown. It's somewhere in the marketibg library section.

Hi SMM,

I work for The Data Octopus, and I am more than happy to have a chat with you about the data that you require.

We can provide data of consumers who are interested in pension products, interested in pension review, people who have a pension/investments.

If you want to PM me, we can have a chat about the data you require.
