Even at last Google PageRank update, I was interested to check my websites' PageRank update, but this update I was not interested at all. However, I was amazed to see one month only seo forum got PR2 - that was amazing!!

I am confused as to what people are wondering about? Google is constantly moving, adjusting, changing...completely changing their algorithim so movement of ranking position is more than likely to happen.

Even more so if one specific niche is un-competitive until that is ones competitors realise it is un-competitive and pile trying to promote their ranking position...

And so becomes a cyclical event.

People really should be concern about this, not for PageRank (PR). PageRank hardly give you any idea of real SERP position.

SERP position should be the main aspect of SEO and this will bring traffic and make money.

Our site has benefited enormously from the changes - we now have first and second place for all the main search terms instead of just first place. Business has gone through the roof.

I Might be asking a silly question, but how often does Google update the page rank?

3 or 4 times a year, t is normally aken from 4-8 weeks previous. The result of this is that the silly green bar is at BESt 2 months out of date, at WORST 6 months.

Toolbar PR is ONLY relevent to people who sell/trade links based on it. Which is a bit like buying fighting pitbulls based on their fur colour and ignoring the important bits

Thanks for giving me some feedback. I think that it maybe a bit of an ego thing, but we like to keep an eye on the green bar to see how they compare to others. Do all pages get reviewed at the same time or do some websites get looked at before others?
