Is Wordpress the best free blogging site?

As the title suggests. And if so why?

I am currently using blogger.

Wordpress has moved on a lot and is no longer just a blogging platform. Most people use wordpress as their main site as it integrates their main content, galleries, ecommerce, marketing and the blog (if they even need one).

The days of using blogger and wordpress.com as a blogging platform are long gone now.

However to answer your question, there are plenty of very good blogging platforms, most are free but some require a level of technical skill to install and configure. But I would advise not using the freebies, get some hosting and install wordpress. You will discover a whole new world and wish you had done this years ago.

I´d vote for wordpress too. Install a nice theme and you can make a really professional looking site pretty quickly.

Hi, Website builder´s have their place. They make nice simple sites, and depending on the end result you want it may be enough.
If the site you want is a little bit more complex, for example if you want people to comment on your articles, subscribe to newsletters. Maybe you need to display what products are in stock or you want someone to be able to search for Men´s large red T-shirts and display them in price order.

In those cases you would run into the limitations of a site builder and it would be better to go for something like wordpress.

Even my vote goes for WordPress. With WordPress everything is just so simple and easy. The new WordPress Coleman also has offered enhanced features making it a systematic tool for blogging or website building.

Using WordPress is really popular among bloggers and it is justified. Because it allows you to use a large number of functions, it has a lot of high-quality plug-ins.

I always recommend WordPress. It is simple to install, simple to maintain and you can do so much more than with other options. I also feel that WordPress offers the best SEO setup which is another bonus.

Get yourself some hosting, install WordPress, install a theme (there are thousands of free and paid for themes available) and away you go. For total newbies there are plenty of good videos on YouTube to help you get started.

Wordpress development community is more robust. You get more and better plugins, more frequent security updates and the learning curve is pretty easy. There are also a million Youtube tutorials on Wordpress if you get stuck.
