Is this training worth the time?

Hi everyone,
I need help with one business and marketing training course I found online. It is a 6 week training with the "League of Extraordinary Minds" and it is supposed to start in 10 days or so... There are like 50 successful people going to do webinars in different areas like: how to build trust and credibility, leadership, marketing success, how to deal with buyers,...

I found it here, in case you want to have a look...

Now, the thing is that it is a free course and I am not sure if there is a catch or if I will get something out of it (sometimes things that are free are not that good) But there are people like Tony Robbins, Ori Brafman, Robert Cialdini and others...

Have any of you had some experience with the "League" before? Can you tell me what you think about it?

Thanks a lot for your opinion.
Andy

The problem with the big namers are that they are pretty much detatched from the reality of real word nitty gritty web marketing concerns, and as such will talk a lot, but impart very little of relevance to people trying to promote their OWN business.

Most of these are set up to grow the magic all powerfull 'list' Remeber 'the money is in the list' is their mantra.

Thanks for reply... So could I still get something out of it, u think? I mean, I am not looking for internet marketing only... I want to have a bit broader knowledge about how to talk to customers, lead people, etc.

The website is (so in your face) it is like shouting!
It put me off straight away - irrespective of the 'big names'!

You state you want to learn to talk to customers - how is a online course going to help you do that.

Speak to your local chamber of commerce and and see what they have going on!

Some of their courses are free for a new business.

Contact local business groups -ask business link for any contacts - or your local Council search on the Internet etc etc for 'local' business they often have meetings in local venues for everyone to meet up, offer support and chat about the day to say running of a business.

Getting out meeting real business people will give you a far better grounding and understanding than sitting at your computer.

There is help available out their (you just have to track it down)!

Good Luck

Jay Abraham is fantastic. Rich Schefren also has some good insights.

I'm not sure about the panel format, these sorts of things tend to be fairly uninsightful.

Instead, I'd suggest you get a hold of Shefren's Internet Manifesto and delve deeper into Jay's stuff.

Andy, if it is customer facing knowledge you are looking for as well as sales, then I suggest you buy a book by a guy called Richard Denny, the book is called 'selling to win' it will help you no end.

I bought that book for a friend several months ago (they say it has become their bible)!

Search Ebay they have some fantastic offers on this book
