Is there another website like Vistaprint?

I have been trying to order through Vistaprint but the website is driving me mad - it adds things to my basket I didn't want, it offers me matching things that don't match, I can't order larger sizes of things without starting again from scratch and the prices keep changing.

I'm going round in circles not achieving what I want to achieve which is an online editing facility which allows me to add my own photos but to their designs and create:
a banner
some matching business cards
some stickers
and a few other bits and pieces in the way of promotional items but these are not as important as the banner and the business cards.

Is there a similar sort of site that can do this?

I appreciate that Vistaprint may be an easy option, but if you want somebody off of here to assist you, NeilDigital is highly thought of, and I too would enjoy the opportunity to quote.

I can provide both the banners and the cards, with us professionally designing both items.

PM me the details if you want me to help.

Best wishes,

Alex @ Iansprint

Hi I can offer you a good rate on banner and business card design and print (feel free to get the best quote for printing from members on the forum). Not a great fan of vistaprint although it works great for some consumers. I have heard of a similar service called goodprint, I never used so can't recommend.

Hi
Avoid Vistaprint at all costs!

I ordered leaflets a year agao and despite unchecking the auto check for a web site found myself being charged 3.56 a month for a website. I have cancelled it three times and it autochecks back to say I want it. After the thrid time and a heated conversation they agreed a refund on the phone, but then instead went on to charge me again for another month.
I have now lodged a complaint with the credit card company.

I have used Goodprint for cards and Vine Lodge for labels.
Both are great to design with online.

Not sure if they cover what you need, but I found zazzle.co.uk one night and knocked up a mousemat and business card design.

They look ace. Doubtless they are expensive when compared to getting a decent design run off a press, but hey.

(one of my web developers used vistaprint a while back and said the quality was shocking)

Not the same, but I also had problems with them - I would not use again.

Also, they really are not that cheap - you think you are getting a bargain, but once you add up the pp and the other little extras they slip in, you end up saving nothing in my experience.

Hi Everyone,

My name's Ben, and I'm from Goodprint, firstly a big thanks to everyone who's endorsed us on this thread and elsewhere on the site, it's good to know we've got plenty of happy customers!

Papverpoppies - I'm really sorry you've had issues with our company, I know it's a cliched line but we really do pride ourselves on our customer service, and try our best to not leave anyone disapointed, if you want to discuss your previous order/s PM me and I'll give you my email address so we can deal with any complaint you have properly.

If I could also address the issue of price, we're aware that our full prices aren't the cheapest, but existing customers get sent discounts of around 50%, and up to 70% once a month, so there's rarely a need to pay our full price. We're also more expensive than a company like Vistaprint because you're not getting the same product. I think we're around 25% more expensive than their "premium" business cards for 500, they print on 265 gsm (their premium card), compared to our 400gsm and have a standard turnaround time of 21 days, ours a maximum of 5 working days before we ship, but usually shipped quicker than this. Their priority production speed is 7 working days, and that's more expensive than our standard postage. Their guaranteed 3 day turnaround is also more than our fast option, and they don't offer next day delivery, which we do. All in all, I'd like to think it's a bit like comparing the price of a Porsche to a Skoda!

The one thing we don't offer that Vistaprint does is an extensive range of products - this is where I'd really appreciate some help from you guys. Those of you that use us, I'd love to know if there's any other stationery which you currently have to order from elsewhere, that we could offer to you. I'm currently working on developing new products for the site, so any suggestions would be massively appreciated. I'll also give out some cheeky discounts to those who help me out!

If I can help anyone on here out with using our site, or placing an order, please let me know. I'll be sticking around here as a user, so will be easy to contact.

Just to put my 2p in, I agree with others on Vistaprint - the quality is poor, website difficult to use, they spam your mailbox every day with "special promotions", the final cost is always massively inflated from what you expected, you have to pay a large fee to include your Company logo, the list goes on. It's no wonder you're looking for an alternative - I certainly won't use them again.
