who really wants another facebook? there's also a hidden agenda with Google+ which I won't go into which means I'm staying well away (facebook are trying to do it but google have too much of a foothold in advertising)

I'm on there, not many of my friends are yet. Circles are good but facebook have just introduced lists to take away the advantage.

I'm sure Google will be flooding it with ads when/if it becomes a success.

yes ,but it seem that it will be some time for personal account before it can be used in business !

I have had a quick play with it, but to me it is essentially Facebook with circles. I never check it unless I happen to notice a notification (are they called that on there?) when on Gmail.

I think a lot of people have not yet got the point.
G+ is NOT another facebook. It is a platform for 'networking' not 'connecting with your friends'.
There are no friend requests in Google plus- people add you to their own network (pretty much like 'following' in twitter) is they find you interesting.

I think it is better to read some posts on how to use Google plus for business benefits before discarding it as 'another facebook'.

Also, some good content is available in sites such as mashable, wired etc. regarding how to use Google plus.

I signed up this week but as many have observed it's still a bit quiet on there. I'm sure it will eventually gain some traction.

I never got into Facebook and the thought of spending time trying to master it was a bit daunting, so I never signed up. I thought G+ is an opportunity to get in at the ground level and grow with.
