Is a Typist Chair a Typist Chair or an Office Chair or?

I sell office chairs through a website. The words 'Typist Chair' are often used as a search term by potential customers. I stock what I call 'Typist Chairs' and when customers land, that's what they see.

Trouble is, almost everyone who lands on the site looking for 'Typist Chair' bounces. So now I have some doubt.

I have worked in the office chair trade for many years and 'typist chair' is a term that the trade are very clear about for a specific style of chair. Maybe I am assuming too much when I think that it is the same chair a customer is looking for when they use that term.

Can you guide me please? There is a picture below, is it what you would describe as a Typist Chair?

If not, can you give me some clues as to what you would describe as a Typist Chair?

Yes I'd call that a typists chair.

Rename one of your office chairs to typist's chair and see what happens.

Just because it's clear to you and MAO it's obviously not clear to the rest of the us. They are looking for an office chair that a typist can use. With arm rests and a high back and levers to adjust things.

Take a look at google image search and see how many 'typist chair' have arm rests...

They are usually called operator chairs.

Put the same chair in 3 categories on your website called typist chairs and operator chairs and office chairs then you can see which name works best, all keep all 3 anyway.

Why not? Looks like the ones my partner uses at work.

Try it and see what happens. You could be really clever and name all your office chairs: Office and Typist Chairs and see if that does something.

The industry so far as I am aware, refer to both examples as operator chairs with options to have with or without arms.
