Investing in Futures/Day Trading

Is it allowable to invest in day trading as such in futures/cfds in the stock market. Day trading as such not long term holding within a ltd company, and can it be done under your personal name using company funds. This isn't the companies main revenue stream as we are a manufacturer.

And if not can a company be created to deal with trading the stock market?

And if not how do you report your loss/profit to the taxman?

It’s more a question if it can be done as a company, would rather not take out funds from the company.

Sounds like this type of trading is all based on being self employed via self assessment though?

This would be taking funds out the company.

Unless the company's articles prohibit such day trading operations or no platform offering such facility will open an account for a company, I don't see why it can't be done as a company. Whether it would be advisable to do it within the company is another matter of course.
