A couple of SEO "gurus" are promoting their new course on link bbuilding by giving away the first module for free.

It's half a dozen videos. I think some of them are quite interesting.

The link is here:

Disclaimers:

(1) I'm not promoting their course, nor am I recommending it, nor am I going to be paying for it. All I'm saying is that there are parts of these videos that I found interesting.

(2) You need to sign up if you want to see the videos. If you don't want to sign up, no problem, you're no worse off than if I hadn't posted this. So no whining about this.

I actually sat through all of the first module and watched the 30 minute video at the end :D

The video's are clear and they explain the topic well, the first module i already knew anyway but from looking at the future modules they plan on discussing it does look value for money.

I think most people who spend on that course will be satisfied with the outcome.

For the most part these things are like diet tips. If you're fat you know you need to stop eating too much and take some exercise but you'll always keep hoping someone has found a great way to eat pies and get thin :)

Maybe that's why SEO advice on here tends to be like diet advice.

Just as "eat healthily and in moderation" is useless advice for someone who doesn't have control over their eating habits, "get quality relevant links" is useless advice for people who don't know where to get them.

The reason I thought these videos would be helpful to people as they address many of the SEO questions I see on this forum.

It still doesn't tell people how to get good links, but it helps them avoid wasting time on the sort of link schemes promoted by a lot of SEO experrs.

Steve

I'll have a watch of the vids tonight when I get in.

That probably best descibs me - I know that I need to get links but I don't have a clue and ones I've tried or trial'd for a few projects seem to take ages to get (research, signing up, approval ect...)

Somewhere down the route I'm making a moutain out of a molehill
