Installment Tracking Software.!!!

Hi,

I run a small computer training company and we offer flexible payment plans for students who can't afford to pay the whole fee in advance.

The problem I am having is tracking the payments - I just need a simple to use peice of software to enable me to enter a payment plan for a student and track when payments are due and if they have paid/ are behind etc.

I already use Sage for my books (well, my book-keeper does anyway) but I really want to keep this simple!

Anyone know of any software to meet my needs???

Or if you just need a billing tracking that does not actually bill but raises invoices you could try something like.. www.kashflow.co.uk

Thanks for that... it's more a software package for just tracking installments I need though. Worldpay is for receiving payments and Kashflow looks a bit too much like a full accounting system.!

Hi

If you wanted something very easy to use, then Microsoft Outlook would be perfect.

You can set reminders in the calendar for when people need to pay you, it then flashes up when the reminder is due. Even if you didnt have Microsoft up and running on a particlular day, the reminder(s) would flash up the next time you logged in.

Its nothing special, but it will work!

Hi Joe,

KashFlow is very simple to use and doesn't have the learning curve associated with other accounting systems. It's very cheap and will automatically create invoices for you on pre-set dates and remind you by email if they are not marked as paid.

Just becuase it has other functionality doesn't mean you have to use it.

I do have a vested interest though as you might see from my signature

I agree, the cheapest option would be to use MS Outlook. It's very easy to use, and will easily keep track.

You could create a MS Excel spreadsheet and set up a macro to flag up the reminders in your email inbox.
