Love this line from a bank manager "you will NEVER EVER receive a dime" - then again my bank manager might be saying that soon!

Used to get peed off receiving these - now they are the highlight of the day!

I think you have to assume the answer is "yes".

I suspect there are variants that work far better than emails still claiming to be from Nigeria, but if they're still sending them, they must still hook the occasional fish.

I feel really sorry for the guy, he must have been up there about 5 years by now - and no salary, so no cash to pop to the local shops for a beer.

I like the idea (previous post) of getting them to phone you on a mobile - keep a long and costly conversation going (on a mobile set aside only for taht purpose presumably).

 

Scott Mills (Radio 1) tried to ring one of these scams up once on his radio show to claim his prize. Can't remember what happened exactly... I think the persons whose number it was really didn't know anything about it - or something like that. It was funny listening to it all though.
