If you won £112 million on the Lottery

What would you do with it? would you stay in business? retire? but most importantly, could I become your best friend?:D

If I won I would still go ahead with my new venture. It would give me some serious money for marketing. I would look to become a billionaire within 3 years.

Although the odds of winning is greater than Elvis crash landing a UFO on the nose of the lockness monster :D

Funnily enough, the Memsahib and I were discussing this topic this morning about what we would do with that kind of money.

We decided that we would spend a generous dollop of that money on building a centre for the local youth to hang out instead of standing around on street corners being bored week in week out, getting wet and cold at the same time. It would have possibly a bowling alley, a small racetrack, some pool tables and as many electronic games as they wanted, all free to use. I would also want a kind of "life workshop" set up to fill that gap between education and employment, paying particular attention to the things that schools don't teach and what life teaches you through hard knocks sometimes. Of course there are endless i's to dot and t's to cross before it became a reality, but with that amount of wealth I think it should be spread around the community rather than just be blown on expensive toys for a couple of individuals.

It is a stark contrast these days that we don't have that many philanthopists as there were in days gone by. Bournville being a very good example.

I wouldn't do it all at once, but it'd mean that during my life, i could develop properties, buy and run a pub/restaurant and invest money in other people's businesses. I'd still be running my company though, lots of advertising, investment and more staff on the books.

As much as i say it to people, i wouldn't buy Nottingham Forest Football Club. If they're relegated this season though, i may have no choice ;)

I would set up a homeless shelter. Help get the ones that want help off the street. Some of them are there through choice some no fault of their own, But most would welcome the chance to help themselves get back into society.

Oh and buy a bleeding big yacht. And maybe actually take a holiday instead of just promising to.

Work....... I'll give it up in a shot. The world is too big a place with too much to see to be wasting time in an office.

*coughs,

The odds of winning the lottery are more realistic than the above. :D

First i would have a year of doing what ever i wanted partying and gettin drunk.

Then for a bit of interest when i get bored of that i would buy mansions and renovate and sell on.

I think you may be right, although I've heard rumours of Elvis being spotted in a pub somewhere in scotland having a drink with ET, I presume Nessy was too big to fit :D

In Georgia, bank interest rates is approximatly 10 % per year.

I'd like to know how much i'd make on a saving of £10,000 with a 10% interest rate for, say 37 years.

For example, could you explain what would happen if i were to be hit by a car, and wake up in 1973?

Could you also source this 10% on the internet somewhere, as i'm struggling to find it. Then i might invest in your business, providing i can invest 40% of what it was worth in 1973, as i'm stuck there.

I'd definitely go off and travel. I think I'd also just enrol at university and learn for the rest of my life too. Plus start up a load of community schemes but to be fair doing what I don't know.

Either way I'd try and keep it as quiet as I could - although I accept that could be hard as people start to question why I'm always on holiday or at uni. As well as asking why I have new sparkly teeth and am also walking around with a crown on my head.

It would be highly unusual for me to win anything on the lottery because I've never bought a lottery ticket in my life!

believe it or not i wouldnt want to win that much money. its just too much.
I'm with you on this, but I'd go much further. If I found myself with a fortune, I would give every last penny away. Money ruins too many lives, and I never want to be rich financially. Our goal as a business is to make a difference, not to make money to keep. Money is a means to an end, nothing more.
