Essentially there is £2 in the equation; should it be marketed as £2 for the product or £2 for the packaging?

Ok, i'll divulge a little further... a magazine.

Is it a one-off? Or will it always be this £2 per issue? Or is it a trial offer that you're hoping to up-sell to a subscription at a higher price?

Also, who is the offer being made to?

And, how is it being marketed to them?

Finally, would it affect your rate card if you chose the free+£2 shipping option?

IMO, all of these questions need to be answered before giving an answer to the question. However... if you're ultimately trying to sell a subscription, I've got my doubts about both alternatives...
